HICAPS embraces sustainable building as part of our corporate culture.  We believe sustainability is the future of our industry, so we are committed to the training and accreditation of our team to support sustainable design, construction and related consulting services.

At HICAPS, we believe it is imperative to be good environmental stewards, and we have worked diligently to build a solid base of expertise in support of sustainable construction.

With a fulltime Director of Sustainable Construction, we continue to develop training programs for our employees and support our USGBC local chapter by serving on various committees that educate and make the communities in which we live more sustainable. In addition, we currently have four associates with experience in all aspects of construction and sustainability.

While sustainable construction is simply better for our planet and provides a healthier living and working environment, there are other benefits as well:  Future energy and maintenance costs decrease, fewer raw materials are needed, operating expenses and repairs diminish, and resale values increase.  While not all projects are certified, we continually strive to provide our clients with the most cost effective and energy efficient construction options.
