HICAPS Constructs Two New Satellite Facilities for the Winston-Salem Police Department

HICAPS, Inc. was the successful bidder on District #1 and District #3 satellite facilities for the Police Department in Winston-Salem, NC. These facilities are two of the three new satellite districts being created in Winston-Salem.

The projects are being led by Project Manager Scott Skidmore, with Larry Lisenby providing site leadership for District #1 and Glenn McDonald providing site leadership for District #3. Each building is approximately 10,000 square feet and consists of structural steel framing, masonry walls, and Thermoplastic Polyolefin membrane roofing.

The exterior finishes include brick, precast architectural concrete, architectural metal wall panels, glass-fiber reinforced
concrete cornices, and aluminum windows and storefront. Each facility houses offices, interview rooms, locker rooms, fitness
space, a Street Crime Unit office, and an officer assembly room.

The current contract value for the District #1 facility is $2,677,599. It is expected to be completed by the end of March. The current contract value for the District #3 facility is $2,517,401 and it was completed in February.
