HICAPS was the Design-Build General Contractor for this project, which included the expansion of the existing photovoltaic system over a capped landfill at the Salem, Virginia VAMC facility. The expansion provided an additional 200KW capacity to the existing 1.87 MW system that HICAPS previously designed and constructed. HICAPS prepped the site and upsized the transformer and inverters to handle the additional capacity along with the additional solar panels.
