Southeastern Packaging Company – Concord Plant Renovation

HICAPS was the Design-Build General Contractor for this project in Concord, NC. It consisted of demolishing part of the current manufacturing facility where the loading docks were located so that they could be reconfigured to allow for easier accessibility for semi-trucks during pick-ups and drop-offs. A retaining wall near a second loading dock was replaced, widening the the area where trucks would be driving to allow for easier maneuvering of the semi-trucks. A control room and restrooms were constructed in the center of the manufacturing plant. A new industrial exhaust system was installed along with a pre-engineered metal building that was attached to the existing plant to cover the rail spur. The project was designed and constructed in 90 days at a cost of $1.5 million.
