Brooks Global Studies

HICAPS, Inc., alongside C2 Contractors, was hired by Guilford County Schools to oversee the planning and execution of $300 million in bond projects starting in 2020. Our responsibilities include managing the planning, design, construction, contractors, and other vendors to ensure that projects are completed within scope, budget, on schedule, and in compliance with school construction codes and to a level of quality that exceeds industry standards. There are currently ten schools at various stages of completion, ranging from planning to successful completion.

Brooks Global Studies Magnet is currently under construction on land owned by Guilford County Schools, as a replacement school for the existing Brooks Global Studies in Greensboro, N.C. The new building is currently being built on the old Craven Elementary School campus and will serve 400 students. This innovative facility will encompass 72,931 square feet and integrate sustainable features, including a 43-kW solar panel system. The project is being developed on a challenging 7.6-acre site, which incorporates large, curved retaining walls and an underground stormwater retention system to effectively manage water runoff.
