Experience
HICAPS has a proven track record of delivering successful federal projects. Since 2009, we have completed over 50 projects across 30 facilities, totaling more than $250 million in construction volume. Our extensive experience includes collaborations with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Veterans Affairs (VA), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and the Department of Homeland Security.

HICAPS project and services to the federal government have included general and specialty construction, design-build construction, construction management services, consulting services, window and air barrier testing, furniture procurement and interior design services, radio tower construction, retro-commissioning, claims consulting, and performance enhancement contracting. Our expertise extends to sustainable projects; we have considerable experience building and managing the construction of LEED® facilities, solar PV systems and air handler, cooling tower, and chiller replacement projects.

HICAPS is a SBA-certified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and has a SBA approved mentor protégé and Joint Venture with an 8(a) AMG/HICAPS JV, LLC.

For more than two decades, HICAPS has successfully worked with numerous Government procurement agents to establish workable processes and procedures, systems, problem resolution, and efficient contract administration.

HICAPS Joint Ventures and Mentor Protégé Relationships

HICAPS has several formal joint ventures and teaming partnerships, leveraging combined capabilities to effectively support your project’s goals and objectives. In our two joint ventures HICAPS serves as the mentor providing capacity, depth, and training to the proteges.  With our partnership with Trane Technologies, Trane is the mentor providing a wealth of experience in performance enhancement contracting, and engineering of energy conservation measures.

HICAPS/C2 JV is a 100% minority-owned NC joint venture partnership registered as an North Carolina Historically Underutilized Business. Providing General Contracting, Interior Design services, Furniture Procurement, Ductile Iron Pipe and Program Management services to state and local governments and private companies.

AMG-HICAPS JV, LLC is an SBA approved 8(a) Mentor Protégé and SDVOSB. Providing Construction Management Services and General Contracting to government clients.

HICAPS has an SBA approved Mentor Protege Teaming Agreement with Trane Technologies.  Providing Performance Enhancement Contracting and Energy Conservation Measures Projects.
