Window Testing, Quality Assurance, Water Field Check
The HICAPS, Inc. Building Diagnostics team conducted AAMA 501.2 window testing, quality assurance, and a water field check for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center during the winter of 2023/2024. This project involved a 15-grade, one-story below-grade municipal facility that had been renovated after sustaining damage from Hurricane Florence.
The testing was performed to assess potential water leakage and ensure quality assurance for the client. Water was applied using a hand-held spray assembly, with the flow adjusted to the appropriate psi at the nozzle. An observer inside the building monitored for water leakage and documented the results. The product tested was evaluated against performance criteria, and any necessary remediation was identified.
