Claxton Elementary School

HICAPS, Inc., alongside C2 Contractors, was hired by Guilford County Schools to oversee the planning and execution of $300 million in bond projects starting in 2020. Our responsibilities include managing the planning, design, construction, contractors, and other vendors to ensure that projects are completed within scope, budget, on schedule, and in compliance with school construction codes and to a level of quality that exceeds industry standards. There are currently ten schools at various stages of completion, ranging from planning to successful completion.

As part of the Guilford County Schools 2020 Bond Program, a new 91,637 square foot Claxton Elementary School was built on the location of the former Claxton Elementary. It is centered in the heart of the community and proved to have significant logistical issues that HICAPS, Inc. maneuvered professionally, quickly, and without incident. Claxton successfully opened its doors for the 2024 fall school session.
