Hiram M. Ward Federal Building – Renovation for the General Services Administration
This was a design/build project for which HICAPS, Inc. provided construction services, management, and site supervision. Existing office spaces were renovated into a new courtroom and judge’s chambers. Three phases were implemented to complete the construction scope of work. Phase 1 consisted of demolition and construction to relocate an employee breakroom, several offices, and a jury assembly room and training room. Phase 2 included demolishing and constructing a space designed for a Judge’s chambers and associated space. Phase 3 completed the construction of a new courtroom, holding cell area, and ancillary court support space.
