Learning Jungle

In the fall of 2020, HICAPS' Building Diagnostics Team was engaged by Learning Jungle to conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCA) for 15 childcare facilities in Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas. Learning Jungle, a global provider of quality educational childcare, is committed to fostering creativity, mindfulness, and positive influence in young minds. The PCA process involved comprehensive document reviews, interviews, and on-site surveys to evaluate the physical conditions of each property and identify any deficiencies. Following this assessment, the team delivered a detailed Property Condition Report (PCR), which included findings and categorized the necessary repairs into immediate, short-term, and long-term actions.

The assessment encompassed critical areas of each building, such as the structural frame, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Specialized inspections were conducted in cases where enhanced due diligence was required, including ADA accessibility, seismic considerations, and fire protection compliance. The final PCR provided photo documentation, descriptions of deficiencies, and a thorough cost analysis, ensuring that Learning Jungle had a clear understanding of their properties' condition and the necessary remediation steps.
