Northern Middle + High Schools

Guilford County Schools hired HICAPS, Inc. to serve as the program manager and owner’s representative for the design and construction of Northern Guilford Middle School and Northern Guilford High School campuses in Summerfield, N.C. These facilities were exceptional in terms of the sustainable nature of the projects. Design elements such as daylight harvesting in all educational spaces, underfloor air distribution, rainwater harvesting, solar hot water system, and Living Machine treating sewage on-site are just some of the sustainable features of the two schools.
