VISN 11 Cooling Tower Replacement

HICAPS was the General Contractor for the VISN 11 Cooling Tower project located at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The work included the removal of an existing cooling tower with two cells and the installation of a higher efficiency tower with three cells. In addition, an existing screen wall was removed and replaced with a modern aesthetically pleasing screen wall to conceal the towers. After the erection of the tower; new pumps, Variable Frequency Drives, piping, and controls were installed to allow for the new tower/cells to be brought online. The total cost of this project was approximately $2.7 million.
